This juice is life to my cells! It’s the energy boost I need, plus it’s great for the immune system.
When creating this recipe, I was trying to find a juice that would be gentle on my bladder. If you struggle with or have cystitis you know that anything too acidic comes with very unpleasent consequences!! After a lot of trial and error I found this recipe to be safe and pain free for me to drink. Citrus can be a problem for cystitis so omit the lemon if you know citrus is a trigger for you.
I feel cystitis is different for everyone. I had to figure out what triggers the onset of mine. When I was first diagnosed with this, I could not tolerate any raw juices. Now, my body is slowly healing and I’m able to drink a couple of raw juices a week with no flare up. I am finding that healing the lining of my gut also heals the lining of my bladder. I’m definitely less sensitive than I use to be. Something that has helped me with my gut and bladder healing is to drink and cook with bone broth. The gelatin in bone broth helps to heal and seal the lining of the gut junctions. Bone broth is really easy to make. It may be intimidating at first but once you try it, it makes sense. If you want step by step instructions on how to make your own bone broth then check out my video here.
I will definitely be sharing more on my gut healing journey in the future. Below is the juicer that I love and use!
- 3 carrots
- 8 celery sticks
- ½ green apple
- 1 lemon
- 1 beet
- 1 inch turmeric root
- 1 inch ginger root
- Cut up and peel ingredients according to you juicer's manufacturer's instructions.
- Feed all ingredients through a juicer
- Stir and enjoy!
